Our group classes are the heart of our CrossFit program. Working out in a group setting fosters a supportive and competitive nature that elicits the most effective results. Whether you are competing against yourself, the timer on the wall, or the person beside you, we find that working out in a group is the best way to achieve the most dramatic improvements in fitness. Class sizes are kept small (usually 12 members or less) to ensure that you get personalized instruction from the coach. A typical class consists of an instructor-led warm-up, a skill or strength session focusing on one of the foundational movements, followed by the workout-of-the-day (or WOD). The duration and exercise components of the WOD are varied daily to avoid routine and prepare you for a broad range of life challenges. This constant variation not only helps keep things interesting, it also is key to what we call General Physical Preparedness…being prepared for whatever lift throws at us. If you would like to get an idea of our programming style, check out the Workouts section where we post the workout of the day.
Olympic Lifting Class
Saturday 10:00am – 11:00am
Our Olympic lifting class is held on Saturdays from 11am-12pm. Cost of this specialty class is included in the regular monthly membership. Punch pass members and drop-ins are welcome as well. The class is focused on building strength and drilling the technique involved in the two main Olympic lifts; “The Clean & Jerk” and “The Snatch”. The programming complements our regular group class schedule. All members, beginner, intermediate, and advanced lifters, will benefit from the skills developed in this class.
MOVE – Powered by CrossFit Inguz
Monday and Wednesday at 10:00am – 11:00am
MOVE is a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program offered as an alternative to our standard CrossFit Group Classes. The program is built upon the CrossFit foundation of functional movements executed at high intensity, but without the heavy barbell lifts. The classes will focus on metabolic conditioning, strength training and core stability using basic bodyweight movements, plyometrics, running, rowing, jump ropes, kettlebells, dumbbells, and medicine balls. As in CrossFit, the programming is constantly varied so each day will be a new challenge.
One-on-One Personal Training
If you’re not sure if CrossFit group classes are for you, we also offer one-on-one personal training sessions. These sessions are tailored to meet each athlete’s specific needs and individual goals. Whether you are brand new to fitness and just learning the movements, or are training for a very specific event (race, competition, sport specific, etc.), we can design a program that will help you meet your goals.
