Andrew Prpich (Coach/Owner)

I’ve always considered myself to be a very active person. I grew up in Canada playing hockey, baseball and football and continued on to play football at the University of Waterloo. I’ve always loved going to the gym, but after too many years of doing the same program over and over, I was in dire need of something different. Enter CrossFit. I was introduced by a colleague at work and started mixing different WODs into my regular routine. I loved the intensity and competitive aspect, and it didn’t take me long to realize how effective it was. I attended my Level 1 certification about a year later in 2011 and haven’t looked back since. What I didn’t realize when I first started was how much I would come to love being a coach of CrossFit.

When Tim Devine asked me to coach for him when he opened his doors at CrossFit Groton I jumped at the opportunity. I mainly thought I was doing him a favor, but that changed when I realized how amazing it was to help people do things they never thought possible. Seeing athletes improve their fitness and achieve new goals on a daily basis quickly became the highlight of my week.

I am incredibly passionate about CrossFit…some people may even say obsessed. While that may be true I truly believe that anyone can benefit from it.
