Blackened Salmon

 

A simple dry rub that gives salmon a nice kick. This recipe is quick enough for an easy weeknight meal.

For the Dry Rub:

  • 2 TBSP Ground Paprika
  • 1 TBSP Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano

 

 

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl mix all ingredients for the dry rub.
  2. Melt 2-3 TBSP of butter in another bowl, and brush salmon fillets with the melted butter to coat evenly.
  3. Sprinkle a generous amount of the dry rub onto the salmon fillets.
  4. Pre-heat grill to medium heat (400-450°F). Brush the grill with oil to keep salmon from sticking. Grill salmon undisturbed for 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
