Chipotle Dry Rub

 

This super simple dry rub is great for grilled chicken breasts or thighs, but can also be used on pork, steak or burgers. If you haven’t discovered chipotle chili powder yet, go buy some…it’ll change your life.

For the Dry Rub:

  • 1 tsp Chipotle Chili Powder
  • 1 TBSP Chili Powder
  • 1 TBSP Ground Cumin
  • 1 TBSP Paprika
  • 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
  • 1 TBSP Onion Powder
  • 1 TBSP Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper

For the Marinade:

  • 2-3 TBSP of Dry Rub
  • 3-4 TBSP of Olive Oil
  • 1/2 a Lime (squeezed)
  • These quantities can be adjusted based on your liking and how much chicken you are grilling

 

 

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl whisk together dry rub, olive oil, and lime juice. Add chicken and mix well to evenly coat with the marinade. Allow chicken to sit for 30 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate up to 8 hours prior to cooking.
  2. Pre-heat grill to medium heat (400-450°F). Grill chicken undisturbed for 7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  3. Let rest for 5 minutes and enjoy!!
