Homemade Cranberry Sauce

 

Looking for a healthier alternative to canned cranberry sauce? This recipe is all natural, can be whipped up in under 20 minutes, and is much healthier than the jellied version. Give it a try with your holiday dinner this year.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Cranberries
  • 1 cup Orange Juice
  • 1 cup Finely Chopped Pineapple
  • ½ cup Honey
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Add the first four ingredients to a saucepan over high heat.
  2. Cook until cranberries begin to pop (the skins will break).
  3. Reduce heat to a simmer.
  4. Add allspice and cinnamon and stir as the sauce thickens, using the back of your spoon or a masher to mash your cranberries into a thick, textured sauce.
  5. Serve with your favorite holiday meal…and enjoy!!
